So I have daily super early morning meetings to provide progress updates on this super shitty dumb project I’m working on.
These meetings started yesterday and are set to go on for a couple of months until the current phase of the project is over. What does my exec, and delivery manager, do? He fucking hasn’t shown up yet to these meetings. Both yesterday and today me and this other bloke show up early morning. But the manager doesn’t show, doesn’t give us any warning that he’s not going to make it. On both days now, we’ve had to reschedule the meeting to after 9. If I had known that I wouldn’t have gotten in super frigging early.
The manager says he’ll make it super early tomorrow for the morning meeting. But sigh, so far I’ve gotten up super early for nothing. He better come on time tomorrow, otherwise I’m going to move for a reschedule of this stupid daily meeting.
Good day for sick leave.
Tell your manager that early morning’s best reserved for checking urgent emails that need immediate actioning. In the interest of finishing projects on time, it’s much more efficient to hold the meetings later in the day.
